These ladies create incredible DIY body products as well as teach you all you need to know about herbs, infusions, and making your own herbal remedies.
Personally, I’ve been using herbs for many years for many different reasons but mostly in a capsule form. What I love about these blogs is the wealth of information you get on how to use fresh or dried herbs from your DIY herbal garden in your own infusions and tinctures. Not to mention, there are food recipes galore.

This list of talented herbal bloggers have a tremendous following and for good reason. The amount of herbal information contained on their websites will blow you away. If you are stumped on where to start or just need a little more guidance, you will definitely find it on one these blogs.
Never A Shortage Of New Ideas
In the world of herbs and herbalism, there is no shortage of information on herbs and their uses. Something I enjoy most about these herbal bloggers posts, is that they make the information easy to understand thereby sparking your own creativity to concoct herbal medicines and foods that apply to you and your family’s needs.
I can literally spend hours strolling through their DIY recipes that range from infusions and tinctures to herbal medicine and food. If you are one of those moms, like me, who love the all-natural way of life, then these bloggers should definitely be on your list of herbal bloggers to follow.
(If you have ever wanted to learn about foraging, there’s plenty of that too!)
In addition, if you are an all-natural soap maker, you will find soap recipes using all-natural herbs either infused, as little scrubbing additives or both! If you’re not a soapmaker, give it a try. It’s really not that scary and it’s tons of fun.

1. Jan Berry aka The Nerdy Farm Wife
The first herbal blogger on my list is Jan Berry, aka, The Nerdy Farm Wife is my all-time favorite blogger. Maybe it’s just her blogger name “The Nerdy Farm Wife” because I can so relate to the nerd reference but either way, Jan astounds me with her knowledge and recipes.
I’ve been following her for years and have learned many unique ways to incorporate herbs into my life. One of my favorite recipes from her blog is Elderberry Vinegar Honey Caramels. Doesn’t the title just make you want to check it out?
In addition, I have purchased products from her and have never been disappointed. Her latest book, Handmade Lotions and Creams is the e-book from which I have learned to create my Dandelion Rosemary Sore Leg Cream and DIY Hydrating Cucumber Eye Cream.
The value in this book is absolutely incredible, well worth the price.
2. Colleen, Grow, Forage, Cook, Ferment
Colleen over at Grow, Forage, Cook, Ferment is another outstanding herbal blogger. Her heart and passion is herbal gardening, sharing knowledge and recipes with her readers, as well as teaching. In fact, she just might be the queen of wildcrafting.
I’ve taken her free mini foraging and herbalism course and couldn’t believe the wealth of information in the free course, just imagine what’s in her books and other courses!
When reading her blog, you get the sense that she’s speaking straight to you and you feel a genuine care in what she says. She really wants you to understand the impact that herbs, gardening, and DIY herbal products have and that they can be made a part of your every day.
There’s always something new on her blog. You never get bored. One of my favorite recipes on her blog is Herbal Popsicles with Lavender and Lemon Balm. She makes it look easy.
3. Meagan, Growing Up Herbal
Meagan is a registered nurse turned herbalist and she has a fantastic love of essential oils. Ah, a girl after my own heart. Her blog is filled with countless ways to use herbs and essential oils in your life.
While I haven’t been following her blog for very long, once I found it, she quickly became a favorite. She’s an all-natural mama who also loves to share her knowledge. She brings you smoothie recipes, ways to naturally alleviate headaches, as well as teaching you how to make fermented products like kefir.
I just love her refreshing way of explaining things and her honest approach to family and treating ailments. She’s a straight shooter and that’s something that I can appreciate.
And as stated before, there is no shortage of essential oil recipes. One of my favorite posts from her blog is Phototoxic Essential Oils: What You Need To Know.
4. Tanya, Lovely Greens
Tanya’s blog has a big focus on gardening and green living. She’s also a beekeeper. How cool is that? Her goal is to use what’s in the garden to create “lovely” soaps, crafts and natural beauty products. She’s incredibly creative and well-versed in green living.
Her blog is fresh and colorful, truly a delight to discover. One of my favorite things about her blog is the Browse By Season category. That makes it so easy to find what you’re looking for. You want comfort food recipes for Autumn, there you go. You want refreshing summer recipes, there you go.
If you’re a mom with a love for all-natural living, the Lovely Greens blog is a must-follow. And if you like videos, there’s plenty of those. One of my favorite posts is how she makes pots out of newspaper, view it at Two ways to make Newspaper Plant Pots: the quick way and the origami method.
5. Chris, Joybilee Farm
Chris founded Joybilee Farm with her husband and the two do a fantastic job of bringing you pertinent and valuable information. The blog’s focus is a handmade life. In fact, the tagline is, “Nuturing your JOYful handmade life.”
On her blog you will find recipes to create healing salves, drinks for health, making dyes with natural ingredients, and even how to clean your essential oil bottles. It’s clearly evident, her passion is to share her knowledge in hopes to help others find their own way to an all natural handmade life.
She teaches in an enjoyable and memorable way. Her posts are filled with insight and are so interesting to read. I have learned so much from her posts. Joybilee Farm is an great reference learning blog for the mom who loves DIY and wants to live a more self-reliant, naturally lifestyle.
